Wetaskiwin play is a small city in the province of Alberta, Canada. The city is located 43 mi or 70 kilometres south of the provincial capital of Edmonton. The city name comes from the Cree word wi-taski-win-ispatinaw, that means "the hills where peace was made". Wetaskiwin's population based on its 2009 municipal census is 12,285.

Then, utilizing that feedback, a group of citizens would create a plan to present to City Council.
The Wetaskiwin Tomorrow plan, once it is accepted, will help to guide the city council when choices regarding the future of the city are made. The plan will help the city create a direction for the fields of business development, social services, cultural activities, and environmental protection.
